Since 2014, the world of Wave & Tidal Energy has encountered successes and adjustments. In December 2015, the COP 21 has been the first international climate commitment taken by at least 177 countries for reducing temperature increase. It gives to Marine Renewable Energy sector an immediate challenge to meet.

In that context, MERIC, Universidad Austral de Chile and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, jointly organize this “Second Workshop of Wave & Tidal Energy”. This year, a special attention is given to R&D breakthroughs that can address risk assessment issues for Marine Renewable Energy projects for future experiences, from mitigation, evaluation and forecasting, but also original research of another topics related to MRE are also welcome.

Poster session and social events are as well organized for all participants to initiate new venues of research as well as contacts and network updating.

We invite authors to submit abstracts for presentations at the WTE’16 workshop within any of the following themes:

*Student Registration

A undergraduate or graduate student is defined as a holder of a student identification card from a recognised educational institution or a holder of an international student card.

Please note: A copy of your student identification card must be sent to the Congress Managers via email to [email protected]. Without this copy, the regular registration fee will be charged.

**Important: If approved to be a presenter you will receive a 20% discount off the regular registration price. This discount will not be reimbursed if you have paid regular registration price.

Registration to the workshop includes: participation in all technical sessions and keynote lectures, participation certificate, presentations, Workshop material, coffee breaks, lunches, networking event.

Registration fee doesn’t include flight ticket, accommodation, airport transfers and/or any other products or services not mentioned above.

Cancellation and refund policy
Cancellations must be notified to the Congress Managers by email [email protected].

Cancellation Fees:
Cancellations received before September 15th 2016 will receive a 70% refund on the registration fee.

Cancellations received between September 16th 2016 and October 15th 2016 will receive a 40% refund of registration fees paid.
Cancellations after October 16th 2016 will not be refunded.
